Brand
Mamiya was founded in Tokyo in May 1940 by camera designer Seiichi Mamiya and his backer Tsunejiro Sugawara, and it first made its name with medium-format rangefinders like the Mamiya Six. The Mamiyaflex C2 Professional of 1958 began the C-series twin-lens reflexes, unusual for their interchangeable lenses and bellows focusing, and the C330 belongs to that line. The RB67 of 1970 put a rotating back on a modular 6×7 SLR, and the M645 of 1975 was the first SLR built only for the 6×4.5 format. The RZ67 came in 1982, the same year as the ZM, Mamiya's last 35mm camera. Phase One took a major stake in 2009 and finished buying the company in 2015.
